Here's a quick tutorial on Teams, what they do, and why you may want to create one!

🧑🤝🧑 What is a Team?
If you're planning on building a town, base, factory, or anything else with friends, creating a Team is highly recommended!
⚙️ How to Create or Manage a Team
- Open your inventory and look for the FTB Teams button in the sidebar. - From there you can create a new Team, invite players, manage members, change your Team name/color, and adjust Team settings. - You can also manage Teams using the /ftbteams commands if you prefer commands.
How Teams Work With Claimed Chunks
When you claim chunks while you're part of a Team, those claims belong to your Team.
This means your Team members can build and interact inside your claimed land rather than everyone having to create separate claims.
Depending on your Team's settings, Team members can:
- Break and place blocks inside Team claims - Access chests, storage, machines, doors, and other interactive blocks - Help build and maintain shared bases - Share protected areas without having to individually claim everything
🤝 Allies
You can also add other players or Teams as Allies.
Allies are useful for trusted friends who you want to give access to your claims without actually adding them as full members of your Team.
Be careful who you add as an Ally though, as this can give them additional access to your protected land depending on your Team settings.
💬 Other Team Features
Teams also give you access to things like:
- Team chat - Team names and colors - Inviting/removing members - Team permissions and settings - Managing allies - Shared FTB Chunk claims
⚠️ Only Team up with people you trust! Team members may be able to access and modify things inside your claimed land, so adding someone to your Team is giving them much more access than a normal player.
If you're playing solo, you don't need to join a Team. Your personal claims will still protect your land normally!
